We regret to announce that Barbara Wicklund has resigned from the position of AKC Delegate for the BHCA due to health issues.
Her tireless efforts for the club as AKC Delegate for 35 years are greatly appreciated and she will be missed in this position.
The BHCA Board will be accepting names and resumes from BHCA members who are interested in filling the remaining term of the AKC Delegate. If you would like to be considered for the position, please send your information by April 15, 2012 to Joani Rush, BHCA Corresponding Secretary,

It's not too early to plan for 2012.
Whether you live in the East, the South, the Midwest or the West, local BHCA-affiliated Basset Hound clubs are preparing specialty shows where your hounds can strut their stuff, not only in conformation, but at some events in obedience and rally, as well. And junior handlers will also have the opportunity to shine.

2012 Nationals Hotel Information |

It's never too early to start making travel plans for the 2012 Nationals in Massachusetts, which will run from Monday October 1 through Friday October 5, with affiliated events taking place starting Saturday September 29.
Nationals headquarters is the Holiday Inn Mansfield/Foxboro, which last year received a regional award. BHCA has negotiated a special rate of $104 a night, and the hotel will allow up to 4 dogs to stay in a room.
